With years experience in the removals industry, we at Sleaford Removals understand that after what can frequently be a stressful house buying and selling process, the reality of finally moving to your new home can seem daunting.

At Sleaford Removals we strive to take off the pressure for your final stage of the process and get you moved as smoothly as we possibly can. Once you have been given your quote and you are happy to accept it there are some tips from us to ensure a stress free move.

Of utmost importance is to keep your removal firm informed, don’t be afraid to call and ask questions if you need to – a good firm will do their level best to help and ease any concerns you may have.

Remember that any disconnection of electrical/gas fixtures and fittings must be carried out by a qualified person so be sure to get this booked in good time.

If you are packing up your belongings yourself, remember that good sturdy boxes are preferred to bags, and its always a good idea to mark the boxes with their designated rooms for unloading into and also if there are any fragile contents.

It is a good idea to keep important documents and valuable personal items in a separate box that you can keep with you; not only for peace of mind but you may need them when you collect the keys to your new home.

Lastly we highly recommend that the last things to be loaded onto the lorry and the first things to be unloaded at your destination are the kettle, tea, coffee, sugar and mugs (and don’t forget the cookies!)

All of the team at Pillar 2 Post Removals wish you the very best of luck with your move and happiness in your new home.
